At Maple Grove, we believe that the best way to spread the Word is by connecting with people. To do this, we provide a number of opportunities for our congregation to interact within the church and to reach out to the community and the world at large.
Each Sunday morning, Maple Grove offers adult Sunday School classes at 9:30 am and after the morning service. The 9:30 class is a Bible study, which is based on feedback, participation, and interest with each study lasting a couple of weeks. The after service class focuses on DVD based material which addresses the origin and evolution of Christianity and its relation to other world religions. Topics include “Understanding the New Testament”, “The Search for the Historical Jesus”, basis in Judaism, and the growth of Islam. We welcome you to join us for Sunday School at Maple Grove United Methodist Church to enjoy listening to and studying God’s Word.
The United Women in Faith (UWF), (formerly the United Methodist Women), is an active group of women who meet monthly on the third Wednesday in the Fellowship Hall with programs presented on the yearly UWF theme. The UMF of Maple Grove is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission.
The United Methodist Men (UMM) host a breakfast, open to all, on the last Saturday of each month. Guest speakers are invited to provide information on topics of interest. In addition, the Maple Grove UMM yearly undertakes a project which benefits the local community.
After the service on the second Sunday of each month, the entire congregation gathers in the Fellowship Hall for a potluck lunch. The conversation is always lively and the food is always excellent.
